The 100-room hotel will be London’s first Waldorf Astoria property once it opens next year
The Waldorf Astoria London Admiralty Arch hotel has announced a series of senior appointments ahead of its 2026 launch.
These include Mathilde Brallet as commercial director, Kane Savage as director of sales, Carly Gill as HR Director and Marie-Charlotte Gauter as director of operations.
It comes roughly a year after Guillaume Marly was appointed general manager of the hotel, which will be London’s first Waldorf Astoria property, having joined from a managing director role at Hotel Café Royal in London.
Commercial director Brallet joins the luxury Trafalgar Square hotel from Conrad London St James, bringing more than 17 years’ industry experience to her role. She began her career on Hilton’s management programme in Paris and Glasgow, which took her to senior positions at Hilton Strasbourg and Hilton London Metropole. She is also a graduate of the prestigious Ecole Hôtelière de Lausanne.
Meanwhile, director of sales Savage brings a decade’s luxury hospitality experience from companies such as Langham Hotels & Resorts, while HR director Gill was most recently cluster HR manager for various Hilton properties across London.
Finally, Gauter, a 2023 Acorn Award winner, has returned to Marly’s team for the third time in her career, this time as director of operations. The former director of operations at Hotel Café Royal also completed an internship at Dinex Group in New York, which is run by Daniel Boulud, chef partner for Waldorf Astoria London Admiralty Arch.
Marly said: “Mathilde, Kane, Marie-Charlotte and Carly are outstanding leaders who bring their expertise, ambition and vision to Waldorf Astoria London Admiralty Arch, one of the world’s most exciting new luxury hotels. I am delighted to welcome them all to the team as we prepare for this landmark opening.”
Waldorf Astoria London Admiralty Arch is slated to open in 2026 in partnership with the Reuben brothers. The 100-room hotel occupies the Admiralty Arch building located at the end of the Mall opposite Buckingham Palace, which was originally commissioned by King Edward VII in memory of Queen Victoria.
The property will feature 25 suites, 17,500 sq ft of residences and signature restaurants from chefs Boulud and Clare Smyth.
