Here are all the hospitality venues set to launch across the UK in April 2026
April is bursting with hospitality openings, ranging from the long-awaited launch of the British Museum-inspired Zetter Bloomsbury hotel to the Sloane Club’s first public-facing site in its 104-year history – Café 1922.
London is also due to welcome its first wave of Japanese handroll restaurants, which have proven to be highly popular in Paris, in addition to a steady stream of Italian outposts including fresh pasta sensation Padella and Abruzzo-inspired Auguste.

Meedu Saad, the former head chef and co-owner of Michelin Bib Gourmand restaurant Kiln, has launched his debut solo outpost, Impala. The charcoal grill restaurant is centred around North African influences and seeks to bring the energy of Cairo’s Friday markets to London’s Soho. With the support of head of sourcing, SongSoo Kim, Saad has established strong relationships with farmers across the country, ranging from Cumbria to Cornwall.

The Zetter Group has finally opened its doors to the 68-bedroom Zetter Bloomsbury, formed of six interconnected Georgian townhouses directly opposite the British Museum. Designed by James Thurstan Waterworth, the former European design director at Soho House, the boutique hotel features over 500 cushions, 600 vintage art and auction catalogues and weaves together African, Oceanic, Asian, American and European influences.

The Cadogan, a Belmond Hotel, London, has opened British bistro Willett’s under executive chef Michael Turner, who was formerly at Gordon Ramsay Group for 13 years. Named after the Willett family, the builders behind the 1887 Chelsea townhouse, the all-day diner offers daily specials in addition to a £36 three-course menu.

The team behind Lupa in London’s Highbury are to open Ornella in London’s Hackney at the end of April. It comes less than a year after Carousel co-founder Ed Templeton, former Pidgin head chef Naz Hassan and White Lotus actor Theo James launched the Roman-inspired neighbourhood restaurant. Ornella has been positioned as 48-cover Milanese diner reflecting the flavours of the city where Hassan grew up.

Tim Siadatan and Jordan Frieda are launching fresh pasta sensation Padella in London’s Soho, a decade after their first Borough opening, which paved the way for focused menus and no-reservation policies. The upcoming 80-cover restaurant is spread across two floors, complete with polished wood banquettes, black vegan leather booths and counter seating. The pair are also behind Trullo in London’s Highbury.

John Randy De Guzman, the former head chef at Tobi Masa in New York, is launching Japanese handroll concept Kumori as head chef in partnership with founder Marc Flekei. The 30-cover restaurant in London’s Soho will see guests being served made-to-order handrolls, each featuring crispy nori. The brand has already completed a viral pop-up at the 2025 Monaco Grand Prix in addition to a month-long collaboration with How Matcha in London’s Marylebone.

Chef Mike Bagnall of Elm at the Montpelier in London’s Peckham and general manager Dylan Walters of Bambi have launched Auguste in the former site of Papi in London Fields. Arrosticini, the traditional flame-grilled skewers from Italy’s Abruzzo region, take centre stage at the neighbourhood restaurant and bar, which is split across two floors.

The Bedford hotel has opened its doors in the Scottish Mutual Building in Belfast following a multi-million-pound restoration. The project was led by owner-operators RFM Hotels, a joint venture between Beechlands Enterprises and the Martin Property Group. The property is overseen by managing director Ciaran O’Neill, general manager Mike Gatt and executive head chef Noel McMeel.

New York-inspired 13th Street Hospitality Group has launched American-Irish pub and clubhouse the Horsemen and Fitzgerald’s in London’s Liverpool Street. The site comprises the Horsemen, a traditional Irish freehouse serving Guinness on tap, and Fitzgerald’s, a jockey-club inspired dining room offering an all-day Kentucky-to-Dublin grill menu from executive chef Esteve Prats Grau.

Abbie Roden and Will Sandbach, the founders of Amie wine studio in London’s Victoria, are to launch an all-day thin-crust pizzeria. Located right next to the wine bar in Eccleston Yards, Weezie’s showcases pizzas made from regeneratively farmed flour alongside a selection of small plates created by head chef Sumant Sinai, previously of Circus Pizza in Panzer’s and Share a Slice.

British-born, Japanese-inspired Miokuru is to open in London’s Soho this spring, serving up a selection of hand-rolled temaki and pressed fish dishes. The 20-cover restaurant specialises in counter dining and takes its name from the Japanese phrase ‘to send someone off on a journey’.

The team behind Maki & Ramen, the Edinburgh-based Japanese ramen business, have launched Maki Nori in London’s Soho. The 60-cover restaurant specialises in made-to-order handrolls and also features a 20-seat sushi counter for guests to see all the action behind the scenes.

The Sloane Club is to open its first ever public-facing site in its 104-year history – Café 1922. Led by executive chef George Scott-Toft and head baker Luke Walsh-Landles, the all-day café, bakery and evening wine bar serves everything from the Sloane Pain au Suisse to house-made tagliatelle with walnut and wild garlic pesto and pecorino.

Serial restaurateur Markus Thesleff is to launch luxury Japanese restaurant Ma/na in London’s Mayfair later this month. It marks the latest outpost from Thesleff Group, which is also behind Los Mochis, Juno and Luna Omakase, and most recently Sale e Pepe Mare at the Langham, London. Executive chef Leo Tanyag has been tasked with showcasing the full breadth of Japanese cuisine.
