It comes roughly a year after David Lockhart, the former general manager at Mondrian Shoreditch, was appointed general manager at the Manchester hotel
Kimpton Clocktower in Manchester has made a series of senior appointments to strengthen its food and beverage offering.
General manager David Lockhart, who joined last year from the Mondrian Shoreditch in London, has bolstered the leadership team at the 270-bedroom, Grade II-listed building, previously home to the Refuge Assurance Company.
Marc Fink has been named food and beverage director, bringing over a decade’s experience in hospitality to the role. He has been tasked with raising the profile of the hotel’s restaurant and bar, the Refuge, among both local diners and staying guests.
Meanwhile, Rhea Leach, the former director of marketing and PR at the Lowry in Manchester, has joined Kimpton Clocktower as senior marketing lead.
Lockhart said: “It’s an incredible time to be here, both in terms of what’s happening in the city and what’s ahead for the hotel. From strengthening our team to growing our marketing reach and elevating the Refuge, we’re focused on making sure Kimpton Clocktower remains a second home for both locals and global travellers. I’m proud to be part of a hotel that plays such a role in Manchester’s thriving hospitality scene and a true jewel in its skyline.”
Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants was founded in 1981 in San Francisco. The business now operates more than 70 hotels and 80 restaurants across the United States, Europe, Caribbean and China.
In 2015, it joined the InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG). IHG then launched Kimpton Clocktower in 2020.
