The alcohol-free specialist was founded as a mindful drinking brand 10 years ago
Mindful drinking specialist Club Soda is on the hunt for a new site ahead of plans to move on from its central London bar and tasting room in January next year.
Club Soda’s founder Laura Willoughby announced the news on LinkedIn and said: “After three incredible years in Covent Garden, the lease on our Tasting Room is coming to an end in early 2026.”
Speaking to The Caterer, Willoughby said the decision to close was due to a “combination of factors”, including an ageing building and rising operational costs and business rates.
Willoughby said the alcohol-free operator is looking for a new home and is open to collaborating with hospitality venues, co-working hubs or a multi-purpose spaces looking for a “creative, forward-thinking” partnership.
She added: “Club Soda is more than just a business – we’re a movement. Our mission is to reshape the role of alcohol in social spaces, championing inclusive choice and driving change across the drinks and hospitality industries.”
Willoughby said the brand was developing its partnership with Majestic Wine to bring "alcohol‑free brands to even more customers across the UK”.
Club Soda was founded by Willoughby in 2015 as a mindful drinking brand. It operated as a pop-up until the Club Soda Tasting Room launched in November 2023. Since then, it has become a go-to venue for low and alcohol-free drinks.
